Job Dimensions
Major Responsibilities
1. Provide PC support for shop floor workstations in client place.
2. Manage installations and configurations of application software for Production and Test environments.
3. Resolving production support problems and assists expert in US or EU resolving issues.
4. Support the testing and implementation of client’s applications; include manufacturing, supply chain and commercial applications.
5. Assist with release management and change management processes.
6. Build knowledge base to provide supplemental support in emergency situations to L1 support staff.
7. Define, coordinate and assist with operational acceptance testing activities.
8. Conducts quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.
9. Respond to off-hours emergency calls.
10. Researches and analyzes existing systems and program requirements, under periodic supervision.
11. Designs programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.
Ideal Person
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics or related field preferred.
2. 2+ years of experience in programming or testing.
3. 3+ years of manufacturing shop floor support.
4. Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems and software
5. Experience working with relational databases to facilitate programming software.
6. Good English in reading, writing & speaking.
Basic Competencies
1. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
2. Outstanding Communication skills to work effectively with team members, support personnel, and clients.
3. Must be self-starter and have the ability to work independently and within a team.
4. Solid technical knowledge including VB.net, ASP.net, ADO.net, Compact Framework, Oracle and SQL server.
