RESPONSIBILITIES 
-Design, architect and implement scalable database solutions.
-Be creative in handling performance-related challenges as they relate to very large data movement within and between databases and flat files.
-Enhance current database schema to add new product features.
-Design and implement complex SQL queries and database Stored Procedures.
-Perform database-related code reviews and make recommendations.

-Resolve db related issues for data load monitoring for all customers assigned to Shanghai team. 
-Monitoring, Maintenance and Tuning of DB2 Databases.
-Work with all Shanghai engineering teams in their Agile feature development.
-Assist all Shanghai engineering teams to investigate and resolve production issues and CSI bugs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 
-5 years of software development experience with large databases – preferably IBM DB2 or Oracle on UNIX.
-Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
-Have strong desire to learn new concepts and technologies.
-Be effective in articulating and communicating design and implementation
-Following are a plus:
-Familiarity with Java/JDBC-based database solutions.
-Familiarity with J2EE, Perl, UNIX shell scripting.
-Exposure to data warehousing and data marts.
-BS in Computer Science or equivalent, Masters is a plus.
