我安装了tomcat 5,可是单击General选项卡中的start，总是不能启动，启动进度一会就关闭了．高手请帮助指点?

I assume you are on Windows.

1) Open a cmd or dos window
2) cd to you tomcat_install_directory\bin
3) type catalina run

The cmd/dos window will not close even your tomcat failed to start.

Read the error message!!!

去安装路径直接启动试试，如果出错看看错误信息才确定该怎么做
